Buckle up for 8 seconds of pure testosterone-filled adrenaline!

Dirt n Dust PBR Bullride

Julia Creek, Australia. – Notorious for being Australia’s toughest triathlon the Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival will also be attracting the country’s toughest bull riders.

The annual Dirt n Dust PBR returns to Julia Creek this year for three hours of non-stop dangerous drama on dirt as the PBR’s insanely brave cowboys risk it all against the monstrous animal athletes that can weigh as much as 1,000kg.

Cowboys from all over Australia will converge at Dirt n Dust Central on Burke Street to try their best to take home over $8000 in prize money plus a one of a kind Eddie Fisher championship buckle.

Like all PBR events, it is hard to determine an outright favorite with any one of the 40 riders in the competition able to step up on the night and deliver the winning ride. To insure the competition is challenging, each rider will ride once with the top 10 scores from the Long Round qualifying back to the final and deciding Championship Round. The top 10 riders will then be randomly drawn against the top 10 bulls in the competition. The rider with the highest combined scores on two bulls being the eventual event winner.

But it will be far from easy for the travelling cowboys when they go up against a pen of the toughest bulls in the PBR. Renowned stock contractor Darren Brandenburg and daughter Dakota will have the still yet to be ridden and 2015 PBR Bucking Bull of the year Gotcha Rockin there. Along with their newest bovine purchase Take the Gamble; who was recently the highest point bull at the Cairns Invitational last month.

The riders will be in safe hands come show time with two of the best in the business in the arena with them. Cup Series Protection Athletes will be putting on their jerseys for what will be a night full of high octane entertainment.

With pulsating choreographed music and extreme live action the Dirt n Dust PBR will be the place to be come April 8th.
