24 Feb Longest Running Competitors Vie for Record
Julia Creek Dirt n Dust veteran Dale Rackham believes she might be the longest running competitor in the Australia’s toughest triathlon.
The 73 year old is one of the oldest female competitors that has competed in the race, and has racked up an impressive 21 out of 23 races over the 2 decades the Festival has been running.
Showing no signs of slowing down, Ms Rackham is once again racing this year in the South32 Julia Creek Triathlon and thinks she and friend and fellow competitor Rosina Oliver may have gotten a leg up on ex-local hero Max Fegan for the record number of races run.
