The infamous Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Bog Snorkelling Championship returns in 2019, in a fresh new format.
Dirt n Dust Committee President Steve Malone explains that “Only winners of Australia’s Toughest Sprint Triathlon will secure a position to compete and win the ultimate championship.”
“Here they will be challenged to locate their winning medal in our newly constructed bog tub in record time to claim victory.”
Competitors will enter a tub of medicinal mud made from Outback Queensland’s finest black soil, blended with water fresh from the artesian basin.
“This is an event not to be missed. Join us on Saturday 13 April 2019 at 12 noon, Outside DND Central - under the iconic water tower”
“We’re going to get dirty and we’re going to get dusty” said Mr Malone.
The 25th Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival is this weekend, April 12-14. For more information, go to www.dirtndust.com _____________________________________________________________________________________
